Darkness was all that Belle saw within her little cell underneath the hospital. Twenty eight years had gone by and she had yet to see the world around her. Belle didn't know what to do. She had no visitors except from the mayor whom she despised greatly and that was basically it. Screams where heard off in the distance and she couldn't sleep. Sitting up she brought her legs closer to her body as she huddled up closer to the wall and she sighed softly.
Having her arms dangled over her legs she looked down and her hair was a mess. A bit of moonlight was shown into her cell and she didn't didn't know what to to do anymore. Why hadn't she died? Belle didn't know the answer to that question. Everything around her had changed, or so it seemed.
She heard footsteps and distant chatter she didn't bother looking up on who could be visiting her. She wanted out of this place and she had so many sedations and other things. Including horrible episodes of her dreams from the past. But she couldn't remember them. Belle had to plan her escape somehow and someway to get out of this horrid place. Hopefully that time would come for her shortly.

one day i'll fly away, leave all this to yesterday [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image: url(http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx223/ka7raelizabeth/3346431062_dc458bf3d0-1.jpg); width: 388px; padding-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 20px;]
— How was it that once a week or so, Amaranta would get stuck with a night shift? When she would have to sneak out of her home to work. It always caused concern for her but the thrill was already enough for her. The feeling of the crisp chilly air hitting her face only made her smile. She slowly closed the back door behind her before walking off into the night. She often thought of the reasons why her mother never let her leave, probably some excuse about the world being a scary place and how someone would try to snatch her up. Well, that’s what she figured anyways. Honestly, she couldn’t remember the reasoning why, her mother would always say ‘you know why’ and she would bring up going outside.
This job is how she got her fix, meeting people just excited her! Her little heels clicking away as she grew closer to the hospital. Today she’ll be working in the mental part of the hospital which wasn’t so bad; she’s worked there a few times before. When she arrived there she made her way down a few hallways before proceeding down the stairs. Greeting the nurse, Amaranta punched in and placed her coat in a locker. She then made her way down the hall with a neat tray filled with medicine cups, each with a cell number. Her job was simply, had out the pills and food and make sure they eat them. How could she mess it up?
She continued down the hall, passing them out, most patients would just take the pills like no biggy. Every few would be stubborn where she could have to convince them. Most of the time, she didn’t know why the people were even down here. A lot of them seem perfectly capable of being outside. She could connect with those who seemed stable enough to get out, She knew what to felt like to be trapped inside all day.
she knocked on the next door to get the patients attention. "Medicine"

Remaining where she was she sighed softly. Isabelle said nothing within this new town of despair. She really didn't belong here. The Queen sent her here after the curse was enacted. A sigh came from her and she heard distant chatter down the hall from her cell. A few screams were heard here and there and she just kept where she was. Looking down into her lap. Wanting to sleep she couldn't. Only to be woken for medicane or sedation. Which they would give her every week. To keep her calm and relaxed.
Then she heard the voices in her head still. And again she ignored them of course. When one was locked away most of your life you start to go insane and hear things. Hearing the knock she didn't look up. Nor did she speak she knew she would be asking for it but she didn't care, all she wanted was to be free from this place.
Turning her head she looked up and saw someone staring at her. Isabelle then looked away from the window and didn't say much to the girl who was outside as she spoke to her about the medicine. She didn't need it. All she wanted was to leave this place and she wanted to be on her own away from here.

— Amaranta watched the patient stare out the window. Longing to leave this place. Something she, herself could relate to. For so long she wanted to leave her home as well, but she never had the will, or courage to do so! To disobey her mother’s orders. Something in her changed one day and she took a step out the door. “Medicine” she repeated. There was a pause, a rather long one where Amaranta didn’t say a thing.
“I know what it’s like to yearn for the outside world. Only recently have I been able to go outside.” she paused for a moment and smiled. “ have you always been in here? Or is this recently?” she asked curiously. Oh dear, Amaranta was now in a talkative mood, this could either be good or bad. “ My name is Amaranta,” she stuck her hand through the little pass through in the door. “ normal people take advantage of going outside and some even avoid it. I love the outside with my new found freedom” okay, ‘freedom’ wasn’t exactly the correct word…
There was a bit of an awkward pause, maybe it was just awkward for Amaranta. “I’ve only been working here a few weeks. But it seems like you don’t belong here. You never scream or fight or well… anything that would give cause of thinking you belong down here. “ she pondered for a bit. Amaranta looked down the hall she was in, both ways to look for any signs of another employee coming, but there were none.

Keeping in the same position she was in Belle never looked up at the girl who was speaking to her. She wanted to speak so badly but she couldn't bring herself to talk to her. She didn't want medicine. Belle wasn't crazy nor was she sick. All she wanted was her freedom from this prison that she had been locked in for almost twenty eight years. And possibly get back to Rumplestiltskin if she could find him in this world.
With a deep sigh she brushed her hair out of her face and she looked up at the woman who spoke to her. It would seem she wouldn't leave until Belle said something or did something. But she didn't budge from where she was and she looked upon her suddenly. Rising slowly she stared at her. Stared at her hand and said nothing. "I've been here for a long time Miss. I've not had visitors. Minus the Mayor and that's basically it" she stated. "I'm not crazy and I will not take the medicine." she said suddenly.
This girl was beginning to get on Belle's nerves as she spoke about loving the outside world. Well, that's good for her, but Belle hadn't seen it yet since she escaped Rumplestiltskin. "Belle" was all she said folding her arms and pacing. Not shaking the woman's hand. "All I want to do. Is get out of here" she said staring at the woman named Amaranta now. "Its nice to meet you Amaranta" she said suddenly. "I don't belong here, at all. I don't know why the mayor wants me locked me up when I've done nothing wrong" she said still pacing and then curling her legs up. She felt trapped and she wanted to be with someone but she forgot who that person was. The only thing she was hoping for was if that person she once loved was still alive somewhere.
